Which documents may be apostilled?

 

Czech offical documents:

  • extracts from the Commercial Register   
  • extracts from the Cadastral Register   
  • trade licences   
  • confirmation of the absence of debts issued by the financial authorities   
  • confirmation of the income from employers   
  • confirmation of employment   
  • judgements issued by courts of law   
  • citizenship certificates   
  • certificates of legal capacity to marry   
  • confirmation of the divorce of marriage   
  • confirmation of stay   
  • birth certificates   
  • marriage certificates   
  • death certificates   
  • university diplomas

How to order the apostille or legalisation?

You may fill in the form on the Home page or contact us by email, telephone or personally at our office in Prague.

How can you deliver your documents to us?

You may deliver your documents to us by sending them to our address stated in the section „Contact“ by mail or personally to our office based on previous email or telephonic agreement.

How can we deliver your apostilled or legalised documents to you?

We can deliver the apostilled or legalised documents to you based on your choice by DHL, EMS, Czech Post, or you can pick up your documents personally at our office.

How long does it take to obtain an apostille?

If the Czech authorities do not question the genuineness of the documents, the apostille may be obtained immediately and subsequently delivered to you within few days depending on your address and chosen method of delivery.

In the case of any complications, we will inform you as soon as possible in order to provide you with updated information.

Who issues the apostille?

In the Czech Republic, the apostille is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Ministry of Justice.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues apostille for the following documents:

  • documents related to the registry of birth and death   
  • documents proving education   
  • business documents   
  • health certificates   
  • documents issued by the financial authorities

The Ministry of Justice issues apostille for the following documents:

  • documents issued by the judiciary and notarial authorities

What will happen with your documents in case the authorities won´t issue the apostille or legalisation?

We will send the documents back to you as soon as possible based on your express consent.
